Chelsea Novotny is a Twin Cities based artist and educator. Her work focuses on collecting and experimenting with pressed plant material to create rhythmic textures within drawings, paintings, and collages. She examines the imprint that nature has on us through our experiences with it.
As an educator, Chelsea believes that art creates positive change and impact within the world. Her goal is to be a part of this positive change first hand. She enjoys seeing how art can empower and uplift communities. She has extensive experience developing art lessons for preschoolers, K-12 students, adults, and seniors, with a passion for working with individuals with different abilities. The various organizations that she has worked with include Minneapolis Institute of Art, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Eagan Art House, Silverwood Park - Three Rivers Parks District, Merrick Inc. Adult Day Services, Simpson Housing Services, and with several schools and artists across the Twin Cities. Chelsea loves creating positive experiences for everyone. |
