Minneapolis College of Art and Design – Outdoor Landscape Painting (2025)
Held on location at Wirth Lake, this outdoor class introduced students to the fundamentals of landscape painting while observing the colors and atmosphere of the fall season. Through demonstrations and guided lessons, students explored composition, color mixing, and techniques for capturing the fleeting elements of the landscape such as light and movement.
Minneapolis College of Art and Design – Botanical Watercolor (2020)
During the COVID-19 pandemic, this course quickly shifted from an immersive in-person experience to finding inspiration in the natural elements around our homes. Students explored watercolor techniques while closely observing the diversity of plant forms, colors, and textures.
Minneapolis College of Art and Design – Painting for Illustrators: Water - based Media (2024)
In this course, students explored watercolor, ink, gouache, and acrylic while learning how water-based media are used in contemporary illustration and design. Through demonstrations, weekly assignments, and sketching exercises, students practiced techniques for applying these materials while developing their own concepts and compositions.
